Instructions

Whisk eggs and sugar well together in a bowl.

Stir in sour cream.

Gradually add milk while whisking.

Add vanilla sugar, baking powder and melted butter.

Stir in flour and coarse whole wheat flour until you have a lump free batter.

Do not stir unnecessarily long after the flour has been added.

Let the batter rest for 15 minutes.

Cook the waffles in a hot waffle iron until golden and cooked through.

Tips & tricks

Let the batter rest before cooking, and adjust with a splash of milk if it becomes very thick. Whole wheat flour absorbs more liquid over time.
