Tips & tricks

Do not use too much tomato sauce on the base. A thin layer gives a crisper pizza and lets the mozzarella and basil come through more clearly.

Did you know?

Pizza Margherita is a classic because it is built on a few clear flavors: tomato, mozzarella, Parmesan and basil. When the sauce simmers down, the tomato flavor becomes rounder and less watery. The short bake at high heat gives a crisp edge, melted cheese and fresh basil added at the end.
