Instructions

Mix vodka and sugar in a clean container.

Stir well until the sugar starts to dissolve.

Peel the oranges with a vegetable peeler, avoiding as much white pith as possible.

Cut the orange peel into strips.

Add the orange peel to the vodka mixture.

Cover and store cold for at least 3 weeks.

Turn or shake the container gently a few times along the way.

Strain the liqueur through a fine sieve or cloth.

Pour the orange liqueur into a clean bottle and store cool.

Tips & tricks

Shake the container gently a few times during the steeping time. This helps the sugar dissolve better and distributes the flavor more evenly.
