Norwegian Lunch Patties

Instructions

Peel the carrots and cut them into small cubes.

Boil the carrot cubes in water for 4 minutes.

Add the peas and cook for another 1 minute.

Drain the vegetables and set them aside.

Add pork mince, beef mince and salt to a stand mixer.

Mix until the meat mixture becomes sticky and even.

Add freshly ground pepper and ground nutmeg, and mix well.

Gently fold in the cooked vegetables.

Shape the mixture into medium patties with damp hands.

Heat butter in a frying pan over high heat.

Brown the patties for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.

Transfer the patties to a baking tray.

Finish in the oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes, until cooked through.

Serve the patties as they are, or on slices of bread.

Tips & tricks
