Instructions

Stir the cornstarch into cold water until smooth.

Bring the stock to a boil in a small saucepan. Whisk in the cornstarch mixture little by little until the sauce begins to thicken.

Let the pan sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, until smooth and glossy.

Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the butter just before serving.
