Instructions

Whisk egg, cream and sugar together until smooth.

Mix flour, ground cardamom and vanilla sugar in a separate bowl.

Crumble in room temperature butter until the mixture has a sandy texture.

Mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients into an even dough.

Wrap the dough and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Roll the dough thinly on a floured surface.

Cut rectangles that fit the goro iron.

Bake the pieces in a goro iron until golden and crisp.

Cool the cookies on a wire rack before placing them in a cookie tin.
