Mix flour, whole wheat flour, salt, sugar and dry yeast in a large mixing bowl.
Add lukewarm water and sunflower oil.
Knead the dough well for 8 to 10 minutes, preferably in a stand mixer, until smooth and pulling away from the bowl.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel.
Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, until doubled in size.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface.
Divide it into two equal pieces.
Shape the pieces into loaves and place them in greased loaf pans.
Cover and let the loaves rise again for 30 to 40 minutes.
Brush the loaves with a little water for a crisper crust.
Bake in the middle of the oven at 220 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden and hollow sounding when tapped underneath.
Cool on a wire rack before serving.
