Instructions
Cut the potatoes into thin sticks.
Place the potato sticks in cold water for 30 minutes to draw out starch.
Drain the water and dry the potatoes very well.
Toss the potatoes with sunflower oil.
Sprinkle with Airfryer Spice Mix and toss together.
Place the potato sticks in the air fryer basket.
Cook at 190 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes.
Shake the basket or turn the potatoes halfway through cooking.
Serve when the fries are golden and crisp.

Dry the potato sticks very well before adding oil and seasoning. The drier the surface, the crisper the fries will be.

Fries become crisper when the potato sticks soak in cold water first because some surface starch is drawn out. Drying them well afterward is just as important, since wet potatoes steam more than they roast. The air fryer gives high circulating heat with little oil.
