Cut the spring cabbage into wedges and leave a little of the core attached so the wedges hold together.
Add butter and water to a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
Place the cabbage in the saucepan and cover with a lid.
Let the cabbage steam for 3 to 4 minutes, until tender but still slightly crisp.
Season with salt and pepper before serving.
