Instructions
Split the vanilla bean and scrape out the seeds.
Whisk egg yolks, sugar and vanilla seeds until light and airy.
Whip the cream to soft peaks in a separate bowl.
Carefully fold the cream into the egg mixture until smooth.
Pour the ice cream mixture into a freezer-safe tin or container.
Place the container in the freezer.
Stir the ice cream a couple of times during the first 2 hours to reduce ice crystals.
Freeze for at least 5 hours, until firm.
Let the vanilla ice cream sit on the counter for a few minutes before serving.

Tips & tricks
